Director, Licensing Services
GoHealth is in search of a Director of Licensing Services. In partnership with strategic sales leadership, operations and other partners, you will implement the GoHealth licensing and carrier appointment strategies. Providing leadership to the Licensing Services team, the Director will lead projects related to new carrier implementations, improve processes, provide transparent reporting, and expedite the speed at which agents become ready to sell. You will report to the VP Org Effectiveness PMO.

Responsibilities:
- Develop a team of senior managers who oversee the onboarding and renewal credentialing for all GoHealth programs including: licenses, affiliations, appointments, certifications, continuing education, and support with background issues
- Promote strategies to implement mass licensing and appointment processes with state licensing bodies and carriers, including working with both to negotiate Service level agreements on appointment delivery;
- In collaboration with operations and program leadership, develop licensing and appointment strategies that provide appropriate coverage to provide an exceptional customer experience; communicate RTS strategies to program leadership and train new leaders on their role in the licensing onboarding process
- Work with GoHealth tech team to create strategies to ensure licensed and appointed agents are ready to sell and have the appropriate access to the GoHealth Marketplace
- Establish relationships with important contacts at Departments of Insurance, licensing exam vendors and government agencies to negotiate agreements and create better processes to achieve licensing targets during peak staffing periods
- Ensure the successful onboarding of new carrier relationships by partnering with the Business Development team to establish processes, determine service level agreements, exchange data and provide status reporting so GoHealth can achieve established sales targets
- Ensure all credentialing activities required by law or our carriers are included in the new hire training curriculum; measure the candidate experience and effectiveness of such training activities
- Provide reporting that identifies the volume and status of licensing candidates in every phase of the onboarding/licensing and appointment process to better estimate time to RTS (ready to sell)
- Develop the Licensing Services team to use tools like the learning management system and licensing platform to improve the onboarding process and ensure a good candidate experience
Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3+ years of experience in the licensing or insurance industry and at least 3 years of management/leadership experience
- Senior level leadership experience with a large team

- Experience with state and federal licensing requirements
