Job Description Summary
CCC is currently seeking a Director of Market Strategy to support our growing China software business. With offices in Shanghai and Beijing, CCC China is an insurance claims software platform serving some of China's largest insurance carriers, including 4 of the top 5 by market share. The Director of Market Strategy will support all strategic aspects of CCC's China business, with a focus on top-line growth. Key areas of responsibility will include local market voice-of-customer assessments, competitive intelligence, growth opportunity assessments, partnership evaluations, and customer solutioning and consultation. The individual will execute hands-on projects and evaluations in the China market and will act as a liaison to leadership and subject matter experts across CCC's US-bases teams.The Director of Market Strategy will speak native Mandarin and fluent English. This individual will report to the Group Vice President of Strategy, who is based in the US, and will have dotted-line reporting responsibilities to CCC's SVP and General Manager of China. The role will preferably be based in CCC's China headquarters in Shanghai, but we are open to considering US locations for the right candidate.The ideal candidate is an experienced strategy leader with expertise managing strategy projects including market assessments, competitive assessments, and growth strategy engagements. The candidate will have experience managing customer relationships and demonstrating value selling techniques in a software or technology setting. Previous consulting experience is required, ideally from a leading strategic consultancy.
Job Duties

  • Continuously refine CCC China's market strategy to drive continued success and enable our growth agenda
  • Develop a deep understanding of the CCC China insurance economy, including insurers, repairers, automotive dealers, parts suppliers, and others
  • Understand and refine CCC's business value propositions and optimize our path for delivery to customers across the China insurance economy
  • Develop and present offerings and value props to customers to improve GTM effectiveness
  • Provide customer consultations to improve business outcomes and further position CCC as a strategic partner to our customers
  • Research and evaluate market and technology trends underpinning priority market segments
  • Perform customer reviews and lead voice-of-customer efforts to deeply understand pain points and opportunities for CCC to create value with future software offerings
  • Perform competitive assessments and deep dives to understand market dynamics and inform CCC's competitive advantage
  • Execute strategic projects independently, including synthesizing quantitative and qualitative information to inform and prioritize recommendations
  • Package and present recommendations on future growth opportunities to internal leadership teams both in China and the US
  • Work cross functionally with Sales, Marketing, Product, R&D and Finance within China to identify and prioritize growth opportunities
  • Lead the CCC China strategic planning process with linkage to overall CCC corporate processes and timelines
  • Act as liason to the US leadership teams and subject matter experts to ensure cross-semination of strategies and best practices
  • Create CCC China board deliverables for monthly and quarterly updates
  • Define key strategic initiatives and KPIs for CCC China, working closely with the SVP and GM

Qualifications
• 7-10 years of professional experience including at least 2-3 years of recent strategy consulting experience from a leading strategy consulting firm
• Growth mindset with proven experience leading market and/or growth strategy engagements with successful outcomes
• Strong quantitative and qualitative skills, including the proficiency building models and business cases to evaluate investment opportunities
• Skilled using PowerPoint to create presentations synthesizing project findings and recommendations
• Problem-solver with an appetite for rolling-up their sleeves to create business impact
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams in a collaborative fashion to make decisions
• Self-motivated with ability to manage multiple efforts simultaneously
• Strong communication skills - both written and verbal - including ability to effectively present and persuade others, including senior level executives
• Technology or software related experience preferred
• Native Mandarin speaker who is also proficient in English
• Bachelor's degree required; MBA strongly preferred
