Role Description:
The Director of Patient Engagement reports to the SVP of Patient Engagement / Growth Effectiveness and is responsible for identification, development and execution of a comprehensive set of strategic initiatives to improve patient engagement. The Director will work cross-functionally to gather input and weigh multiple priorities to execute key initiatives, while keeping patient satisfaction at the forefront. This high-profile role will work to optimize a variety of metrics, including patient satisfaction, patient retention, and other internal goals (e.g. population health, growth). This role will manage ~2 direct reports in the immediate term, with continued expansion, as needed to support initiatives.
Core Responsibilities:
Identify, using data-driven approaches and analytics, key initiatives to improve patient engagement in the Oak Street Health care model
Perform high-impact analyses / tests to inform prioritization of initiatives
Work cross-functionally to execute initiatives and achieve key goals, as agreed upon with the SVP and COO
Inform engagement strategy with cross-industry examples of best-in-class communication / service
Develop, own and execute against a comprehensive patient communications strategy, including working cross-functionally to develop campaigns and sync messaging (to deliver on care model and growth goals)
Orchestrate ongoing communication channels, cross-functionally, to ensure consistent adherence to a defined plan; continually evaluate resource allocation and work with business owners to adjust accordingly
Launch and manage an ongoing patient rewards program to drive impact against key metrics (retention, population health goals, etc.), assessing and trading off cross-functional priorities, as needed
Manage and continually improve patient onboarding process, including working with clinical and population health teams, to determine appropriate visit types and cadence

What are we looking for?
Demonstrated strategic and analytical problem-solving capabilities, including experience with modeling / forecasting (e.g. consulting / private equity or equivalent)
Ability to make high-level strategic decisions, while also maintaining close attention to detail
Experience problem-solving, making decisions and delivering impact in a fast-paced environment (“scrappiness”)
Proven ability to work cross-functionally to drive initiatives forward
Consumer experience and/or communications work preferred
Interest in or experience in healthcare required; cross-industry experience preferred
Proficiency in Excel required; familiarity with programming languages and/or Tableau or Alteryx preferred
Undergraduate degree required; graduate degree (MBA, PhD, MPH, etc.) preferred
Some travel required (approximately 30%)
US work authorization
