Director, Professional Services & Strategy
Sprout Social is used by over 24,000 brands worldwide including Evernote, adidas, West Elm and Edelman. These businesses rely on Sprout to create stronger relationships with their customers through social media. We are looking for a process driven Director of Professional Services & Strategy to help execute on strategic services for our prospects and services purchased by our customers.
The Professional Services team at Sprout Social works with customers of our products to help them launch, grow, and manage their social and advocacy programs. We do this by providing a suite of consultative and hands-on services that make an impact at all stages of the customer journey: implementation, first use, growth, and optimization. This person will report to and work closely with our VP of Enterprise Sales.
Responsibilities
- Develops and implements global Social Media Management deployments. Conducts periodic performance reviews and provides ongoing guidance, training and direction to management staff in developing and implementing plans and objectives
- Develops multiyear category strategy and plan including industry trends, market dynamics, and key opportunities across listening, engagement, publishing, analytics, and advocacy
- Collaborates with Sales team business stakeholders to identify and implement new opportunities while also troubleshooting issues and helping to drive understanding of the procurement process
- Directs RFP processes and negotiations, managing complex global agreements and effectively leading cross-functional teams
- Performs all duties in accordance with prescribed regulatory compliance guidelines
- Identifies and facilitates strategies for complex categories, aligning them with corporate strategy and user needs
- Provide monthly financial reporting and analysis on key procurement metrics for global procurement teams
- Identify risks and opportunities related to achieving financial objectives, working with process partners to mitigate risks and realize opportunities
- Oversees and executes on strategic ideation sessions with key customers and prospects
Desired Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of Professional Services leadership experience
- SaaS experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, related field OR equivalent experience
- Ability to travel up to 40% of the time
- Excellent strategic thinking and problem solving skills
- Consulting & design thinking experience preferred
- Proven self-starter who can work independently and with teams, effectively juggle multiple priorities, and has a strong track record of delivering outstanding results
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven negotiation skills with a track record of delivering completing complex deals with measurable value
- Ability to influence cross-functionally
- Strong business acumen
- Personal resilience to work within an extremely fast-paced, ambiguous and ambitious environment
