Summary

The Director of Strategic Initiatives is an executive development position, which will work closely with the senior executive team in developing and leading strategic business projects driving the company’s long-term success.  The position will prepare the incumbent for future leadership roles within the organization.  The Director of Business Initiatives is responsible for providing support, effective project management, analytics, and sound business advice regarding key initiatives and strategic projects, as assigned, by senior management. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Function as the “Chief of Staff” to the Chief Executive Officer, taking direction from the CEO, CRO/CSO, and the VP of Finance
  • Planning, executing and leading projects for key strategic initiatives, as assigned
  • Lead and execute short-range budgeting and long-range planning sessions
  • Actively participating in long range strategic planning for the Company
  • Using an understanding of business concepts in conjunction with data analysis to identify opportunities for operational improvement and growth
  • Understanding business concepts and using strategic processes to make good business decisions 
  • Analyze data to influence operations on their decision making
  • Foster a positive team environment
  • Maintain confidentiality of all internal and external data
  • Perform ad-hoc projects and other duties as assigned

Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications

  • Education Level:
    • MBA degree
    • Undergraduate degree (Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Mathematics, preferred)
  • 5+ years of relevant business experience
  • 2+ years of Investment Banking, Private Equity, or Management Consulting experience preferred
  • Advanced proficiencies in Word and Outlook
  • Expert level of proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Professional, relevant examples of solving tough business issues
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects, as well as, individuals and/or a small team

 

    Other Relevant Qualifications

  • Travel requirements: Travel Expected: limited
  • System Experience: Tableau a plus
