You will work closely with senior leadership to identify, analyze, and prioritize strategic opportunities to propel BenchPrep forward in the world of digital learning. We are looking for an individual with entrepreneurial drive and spirit, a thirst for knowledge, and extraordinary flexibility to meet the demands of a high-energy start-up. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with high levels of ambiguity in a fast-changing environment, will have a passion for technology, startups, and/or education, and will have a demonstrated ability executing efficiently and effectively in a variety of contexts.
Responsibilities
- Long-term Growth Strategy: Identify areas of growth and develop go-to-market strategies for new verticals/markets
- Customer Strategy: Work with key customers to outline a 3-year strategic plan
- Short-term Operations Strategy: Work with internal stakeholders (marketing, sales, customer success) to develop long-term plan, identify efficiencies, growth opportunities, and ROI on initiatives
- Corporate Strategy: Serve as a thought-partner and support the executive team in various initiatives to help support ongoing operations and understand business health including, but not limited to, board meetings, acquisition opportunities, and competitive due diligence
- Successfully manage multiple, simultaneous projects with various teams, partners, objectives, resources, and constraints
Requirements
- Strategic Vision and Critical Thinking: The ability to define and solve problems critically and proactively to produce insights and meaningful information to aid decision making.
- Communication Skills: The ability to write and speak clearly, easily communicate complex ideas in easy to understand language, and develop executive-level presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Analytical Skills: The ability to collect, organize, and analyze data of various levels of quality, expertise using Microsoft Excel (e.g., v-lookups, formulas with embedded “if" statements), and some form of financial modeling experience.
- Attention to Detail: An aptness for precision from data collection to analysis. Ability to sift through noise to find relevant conclusions.
Preferred Qualifications
- 7-10 years of total work experience.
- 5+ years strategy consulting experience at a top-tier firm working collaboratively in cross-functional environments and building an aptitude for multi-stakeholder management.
- MBA or advanced degree in a relevant field (finance, analytics, or related) is preferred.
