Director, Technology Organizational Development
Summary:
The Director of the Technology Organizational Development at OCC is designed to provide the highest level of people partnership and change management to the technology organization. The role offers the opportunity to think strategically and work closely with a dynamic team of tech leaders, product, engineers, business partners, and talent professionals. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Recognized as the people and strategy partner who will enable the product and technology organization to function and scale. Serves as an internal consultant to senior leaders on the design, implementation, and adoption of strategic initiatives.
- Designs organizational development programs to support the strategic direction of IT, creates and manages long-term goals, develops evaluation methods to assess program strengths and identify areas of improvement.
- Provides leadership on scaling culture, product team effectiveness, and software development practices for a rapidly growing product and technology organization.
- Provides project management leadership and execution for IT change management, communication, and learning initiatives.
- In partnership with Corporate Communications and Talent Development, successfully communicates changes, launches new programs etc. to a cross-functional team of engineers, designers, product managers and leaders.
- Identifies and delivers metrics to streamline and measure success and tell the story of the IT organization.
- Uses people data around engagement, communication, and performance to execute upon the culture roadmap as the product and technology organizations continue to quickly evolve.
- Develops an outreach and networking program to draw in local experts and attract talent to build a pipeline of potential candidates.
- Partners with HR to analyze training needs and develop learning and development strategies, curriculums, and tools for IT.
- Provides expertise in adult learning and evaluating and measuring outcomes to drive effective standardization and alignment of learning strategies and processes organization-wide.
- Facilitates implementation of appropriate change management initiatives associated with organizational transition activities.

- Experience leading and developing cross-functional project teams of subject matter experts and leaders.
- Demonstrated passion for and interest in engineering, IT projects, or cloud technologies. Excellent communication and coalition building skills with an ability to balance, negotiate and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
- Skills required include: Consulting, project management, communication/presentation, problem solving, change management, organizational development and learning and development

Technical Skills:
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Organizational Development or equivalent work experience.
- 7+ years of Technology experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, preferably including time of intense transformation.
