Job Description
The Enterprise Architect is responsible for the creation, maintenance, and management of the IT architecture roadmap, models and dependent components. He or she will use the IT architecture to discover business improvement activities and technology gaps compared to business plans. The candidate will create roadmaps and ensure adherence to existing platforms as well as ensuring that business, application, data, and technology perspectives are in line with our technology strategies, policies, and standards.
Scope of Responsibilities / Expectations
- Establish and maintain a reference architecture to guide future technology decisions, investments, and expertise within IT.
- Design an overall IT architecture that allows for the secure free-flowing movement of data across and in between our front office, back office and in some cases infrastructure that supports directly our end-customers.
- Clearly and concisely define, design, and maintain global architecture standards and principles, solutions, enterprise architecture “best practices” and roadmaps.
- Ownership of the overall technical ecosystem – strategically aligning IT capabilities to business needs
- Identify new and changed business processes as a result of technology changes. Identify personnel responsible for executing the processes.
- Document the processes using TOGAF and APQC.
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, and support in the deployment of complex applications in globally distributed computing environments
- Identify leading technology trends and their applicability to the firm’s strategic business needs
- Enable successful delivery of enterprise initiatives through architecture guidance and support

- Coordinate and communicate extensively with business units and IT leadership on defining and ensuring adherence to enterprise architecture standards
Desired Background / Knowledge / Skills
- Large scale enterprise system development and integration
- Solid understanding of application data and integration technology layers
- Able to use TOGAF as the EA design approach
- Able to use APQC to document business processes
- Ability to use EA tools for modeling and documentation
- Change management/transformation initiatives within the requirements of IT and other industries
- Positive and proactive leadership style, with strong presence, charisma and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work through conflict, gain trust, and persuasively influence outcomes
Basic Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in computer sciences or related field
10+ years experience within the technology field
Four years of experience in enterprise architecture, capability planning and alignment of IT to corporate and business unit strategy
Experience with large scale enterprise system development and integration
Experience in change management and transformation initiatives
