Distinguished and Expert level Individual remote contributor role. Primary responsibility is to provide overarching planning responsibilities across all platforms (shared, dedicated) supporting both Ensono internal and client environment. The Expert Planner utilize his/her critical technical and business planning skills and work with various internal (e.g. product, engineering, operations, finance, sales etc.) and external (vendors, client etc.) organizations to develop, design platform architecture, and financial sound business case that is needed to support the business demand. From creating the Multi-Year plan to Global Capacity Feasibility Process to Inventory Management to driving standard architecture and design across all platforms. The main responsibilities are listed as follows: • Matrix Lead a cross functional global team and develop Multi-year plan that supports the forecasted demand that is based on historical, sales pipeline information, platform architecture/design, current and planned product releases, capacity availability (hardware, software) along with performing detail financial analytics • Develop the end to end Global Capacity Inquiry Process across all platforms (Mainframe, Public and Private Open/Cloud Systems) and the supportive infrastructure (e.g. Network, Space and Power etc.) • Develop and Drive continuous systems and tools development in supportive of the Global Planning and Capacity Inquiry Process • Be the primary interface from capacity team and work with other platform/client capacity planners, technical engineering and operations teams, sales, solution architect, vendors to develop architectural and standardize design, identify capacity availability in supportive for both the client’s and infrastructure environment. Identify and manage hardware/software needed to support the required demand. Develop capacity optimization plans, expansion plans and the appropriate business cases when required • Partner with other internal organization to manage required hardware asset by platform (e.g. mainframe) • Provide critical KPI’s and reports in supportive of the Global Capacity Inquiry process • Provide clients and executive leadership capacity reviews • Primary interface will be all US/UK time zoned client and account support
 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Mainframe and Open systems technology, planning and capacity experience (Compute – Mainframe, Server – physical/virtual, Storage / Backup, Networking to include Loadbalancer, Firewall)
  • Extensive Networking experience (both Wide Area and Hosted Area Network)
  • Public Cloud (AWS/Azure) experience
  • SalesForce and/or ITSM tools experience
  • JCL and/or script coding experience
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Large scale and device Planning, Modeling and Simulation experience
  • Financial Analytical and Planning experience
  • Database and data warehouse concepts and experience
  • Mainframe resources IBM concepts and SCRT experience
  • Expert level verbal, written communication skills along with presenting multi-million dollar business/investment cases
  • Mastery level knowledge and practical comprehension of corporate IT computing processes and methodologies
  • Provides consultation, training, and knowledge sharing to associates
  • Provide mentoring to junior level job roles as required
  • Provide Support and technical expertise and guidance to other teams and engineering organizations
  • Lead and mentor on high complexity assignments to other associates on the team
  • Establish strong relationships with teams and outsource partners through continuous dialogue and support
  • Enable team members to be successful by providing opportunities for continual learning and professional growth
  • Define, engineer, and deploy automation solutions for capacity team supported processes
  • Innovation thought leader on emerging technologies and automation solutions

 

Qualifications

  • Required - Typically requires a minimum of 15 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 12 years and a Master's degree; or equivalent work experience
  • Preferred - Understands the competitive landscape from both a business and technical perspective
  • Travel % - 10%
