TradeRev is looking for a Field Operations Manager to be responsible for directing and coordinating all field operations within their assigned geographic area.  The primary goal is to develop and manage teams of field coordinators that are focused on being customer obsessed and motivated to deliver high-quality inspections.  Managers and coordinators will also be focused on maintaining and improving seller relationships.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a player/coach, jumping in and helping to develop the coordinator’s skills and experience by doing the job with coordinators in real time

  • Understand TradeRev policies, processes, procedures

  • Understand the tools used to conduct enhanced inspections

  • Develop field operations teams capable of delivering exceptional inspection services.  This includes your ability to:

    • Recruit, screen, and hire individuals who fit the TradeRev culture and who have the capacity to learn and perform all relevant inspection

    • Train, motivate, coach, counsel and mentor team members.  These actions are a critical part of the manager’s responsibilities and are done primarily by regularly riding with field coordinators during inspections to assess their skill levels and support their continued growth and development.  The Field Operations Manager is the field coordinator’s first level of support to resolve customer, technical support or personal issues that impact their job performance.

  • Manage your district and partner with the sales teams to provide our dealers with a customer-obsessed experience.

  • Work with sellers to provide training, in-field technical support, and other services to deliver a customer-obsessed experience through fast, fair, and easy operational processes.

  • Monitor and track performance (quality and quantity) and ensure that performance feedback is provided to each individual not less than weekly and monthly.    

  • Serve as back up for assigned field coordinators to ensure customer requirements are met during vacation, other absences or when scheduling conflicts arise.

 

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • College Degree focus on Automotive Sales an asset; Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent experience

  • 2+ years experience managing a team required, experience managing a remote team is preferred

  • Prior experience within the automotive industry preferred

  • Experience in providing superior customer service

  • Experience and comfort with web and mobile technology is a must

  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills with strong attention to detail

  • Ability to maintain calm and diplomatic in dispute resolution situations

  • Autonomous, self-driven, proactive and a team player

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills

  • Competent Microsoft Office skills

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Travel in excess of 75%

Location

Our Chicago office is located in River West on the North Branch of the Chicago River. We have free shuttles to major train stations and CTA lines.
