Title: Field Technician 

Location: Chicago, IL

Overview:

We are currently hiring a Field Technician to service both CityBase’s Kiosks and POS stations around the city of Chicago.

The perfect candidate will a have flexible work schedule with the availability for at least 40 hours a week. Availability for weekend repair dispatches is required. We are looking for an energetic and positive person who enjoys the challenges of solving problems as well as interacting and building relationships with our client locations who deal with your fellow Chicago constituents.

This candidate will have a high level of ownership in their work, good computer skills, speaks fluent English, and can handle both basic and precision tools. You need to have a basic understanding of electro mechanical functions and how machines operate. You will need to be able to carry about 25 pounds routinely and lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. You will need to be able to accept shipments of merchandise at your house - product is very small so very little space will be needed to store inventory. A proven technical repair background is preferred.

You would be responsible for roughly 130 Kiosks and 120 POS stations around Chicago be there for restocking, cleaning and performing preventative maintenance. Every visit would include time spent communicating with the site location personnel and customers. You must also have a flexible work schedule that you can control to be available for repair dispatches.

Education / Experience/Requirements:

-High school Diploma, GED, associate degree or equivalent required
-Background in equipment repair and maintenance
-Prior experience with POS and or Kiosks is preferred
-Strong analytical, organizational, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills
-Computer literacy, including office productivity applications such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and email.
-Ability to represent CityBase professionally at all times.
-Ability to lift 25- 50 lbs.; can bend, kneel and stand for extended periods of time
-Must have an excellent driving record with a valid driver's license
-Must have reliable transportation with active automobile insurance
-Background checks are required

-Required experience:

Equipment repair: 1+ years


  • Technical: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Mechanical: 2 years (Preferred)

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

License:

  • Drivers License (required)
