As a rapidly growing Chicago startup, we are looking to expand our Support Team. At this time, we are looking for a skilled problem solver and an enthusiastic individual who can listen to our clients’ issues and offer a unique and innovative solution to each problem to join our team as a Support Representative. The ideal candidate for this role will possess strong customer service skills, the ability to offer immediate and accurate assistance, tackle technical issues head on, and become a dedicated part of the Chowly Team. Additionally, we are seeking individuals who can approach every issue with an intention of a positive outcome and is exhilarated by a start-up, growth mentality. A background in customer service and technology support is preferred.

Chowly’s mission is to simplify technology for restaurants. We believe that all systems should communicate with the “brain” of the restaurant, the Point-of-Sale System. Currently, Chowly integrates Third-Party Delivery Orders (TOOS) to the POS system in the restaurant. Third-Party Delivery platforms such as UberEats, Doordash and many more, are growing at a rapid rate in the restaurant space with projected revenue totals of $73 billion dollars by 2020. Instead of restaurant employees manually entering delivery orders from several tablets around the POS, Chowly automatically integrates those orders into the POS system and confirms the orders to the delivery partners. Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Manage incoming support tickets and provide responses within a short period

  • Efficiently problem solve technical issues with clients over the phone and email

  • When needed, update mappings between Third-party Online Industry Solutions (TOOS) and connected Point-of-Sale (POS) menus

  • Inform management in a timely manner of compliance problems, opportunity schedule delays, common issues that occur for clients, and other potential roadblocks

  • Follow up on existing customer issues and keep customers informed on the status and resolution in a timely manner

  • Communication with team on any clients that need following up

  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as defined by management

Qualifications

  • 1 year experience in a Customer Service focused field

  • Experience with in-person or phone customer support

  • Proficiency in the use of MS Office and Gmail

  • Proficient Mac user preferred

  • Past experience with CRM preferred

  • High School degree or experience preferred

  • Ability to triage workload in a fast-paced high volume work environment

  • Strong organizational skills to manage daily tasks and routine assignments

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills — will involve interfacing and supporting various functional departments

  • Strong work ethic with a quality over quantity mindset
