Global Director – Real Estate, Facilities & Procurement

The Global Director, Real Estate, Facilities & Procurement will be responsible for building and leading the team of Category Leads and Sourcing Managers who support project44’s corporate facilities. This leader will be responsible for the following spend categories: Real Estate, Food Services, Internal Events, Security, Operating Suppliers, Travel/Hotels, All Real Estate / Locational Leases, Construction, Architecture, Fixtures & Furniture, Renewable Energy, Utilities, Post-Consumer Waste, Mobility (vehicles/bikes), and Fitness
What you will work on
This is a new position that will require a change agent, self-starter, a seasoned professional with extensive knowledge of Procurement, Sourcing and the Real Estate space. The engagement model, service offering and the benefits that Procurement and Sourcing functions are to deliver will need to be defined and communicated across the company. You will lead change and innovation; challenge status quo, adopt technology, put forward creative ideas, champion and implement process improvements, capture the ideas of others and demonstrate good judgment about which ideas will work.

Who you will work with

In this role, you will manage a team of Category Leaders and Sourcing Managers responsible for strategic sourcing activities, category management and supplier management functions, developing sourcing strategy aligned with functional / business objectives, building organizational strength, creating robust sourcing strategies, negotiating agreements, leading strategic supplier relationships, and driving continuous improvement. In doing so, you will be a mindful coach and mentor to the existing team going through multiple transformational changes while recruiting additional resources. In addition, you will act as a key business partner to the functional leadership teams.
What you bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree required in Business, Finance and/or Supply Chain;
  • Graduate Degree in Business (Preferred)
  • Minimum 10 years of proven experience in sourcing, category management including Facilities Management experience
  • Experience in a continuous improvement environment with a track record of achieving significant savings
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills, strategic sourcing, process/project management, computer technology, leadership and partnership.
  • Broad business acumen to include Strategic Sourcing - Total Cost of Ownership decisions in multifaceted companies where outstanding practices are employed
  • Strong leadership and effective business partnering capabilities; problem solving and decision-making
  • Outstanding negotiating skills, especially at an executive management level
  • Confirmed project management skills
