This role requires someone who is well-versed in global cryptocurrency markets and digital trading and will lead our Digital Trading (Cryptocurrency) team. This will include growing the cryptocurrency side of the business, researching new revenue opportunities, enhancements to evolve our current products, generate algorithms and models, use big data analysis for optimizing client spread, as well as, mentoring other team members. You will have a good understanding of Operational Risk, Regulatory and Compliance procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and properly document the business strategy, processes, internal controls and procedures that need to be put into place
• Lead the Digital Trading (Cryptocurrency) team by setting the proper example of the team culture and expectations
• Ensure consistent adherence to all policies, compliance and regulations from every team member. Work in collaboration with Risk and Control partners
• Actively follow crypto markets to generate new strategies and ideas
• Responsible for growing the cryptocurrency side of the business within regulatory framework
• Responsible for specification, delivery and continued maintenance/operation of cryptocurrency, models and controls which expand the business and risk management goals
• Quantitatively assess markets, theorize new trading signals and test with data
• Design, implement and monitor digital trading strategies
• Consistently improve trade execution and general strategy performance
• Consult on models and algorithms developed by your team
• Be able to identify, monitor, control and mitigate risks directed towards the cryptocurrency side of the business
• Efficiently identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, as well as, any other conduct or compliance issues
• High awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework in which your team operates. Be able to assess your team’s effectiveness and to deliver effective governance, oversight and controls in the business

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or Actuarial Science or similar/related field
• 4+ years of experience working with Cryptocurrency and/or Digital Trading
• Extensive knowledge and experience with the technical aspects of analytics, data science and statistical methodologies, analytical and data visualization software tools and the application of appropriate coding languages
• Expert knowledge of global cryptocurrency markets
• Strong decisiveness with the ability to process complicated information quickly and accurately under pressure
• Strong understanding of operational risk, compliance and appropriate regulations
• Excellent documentation, communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Strong mathematical, analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
