Full-time position - Chicago ILEvent Production Group, reporting to the VP Professional Services

To support our growth, we are looking to recruit a top class Head of Events, who will oversee all Event Production operations for our Americas region. This position will work closely with our Event Team Leads, Project Managers, and Sales teams. You will be responsible for orchestrating all resources for our US projects, as well as ensuring that the Event Production team growth, performance and delivery quality matches our high standards.

Your responsibilities

• Direct management of Event Production Group, including Event Team Leads, Program Managers and Project Managers (15 FTE in FY'17, to grow by 100% in FY18)
• Traffic management of Event Production Group
• Hire, develop, and retain Event Production Group team members to support the overall revenue objectives of the business; perform regular one-to-one meetings and performance & development reviews with direct reports
• Plan for team resourcing needs and track team utilization, ensuring adequate level of resources in place to meets revenue and profitability targets, while maximizing team utilization
• Actively manage performance against revenue and profitability targets; maintain control of project schedules and budget, and perform risk analysis and mitigation
• Drive operational results in terms of customer satisfaction, expenses, budget, performance standards/metrics, best practice and employees
• Collaborate, communicate and align on standard resources and processes
• Continually seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships; Identify opportunities to improve team efficiency
• Provide relevant market insight on a continuous basis as an input to Product Management for ongoing roadmap prioritization
• Interface effectively with individuals at all levels and across all functions of the organization; contribute and collaborate with peers as member of the Professional Services leadership team

Your profile

• Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s Degree preferred
• 2+ years' experience in resources management and planning and/or in the event, marketing or communications industry. Experience in project management in a PMO a plus
• 2+ years' experience in managing a 5+ team
• Past success in managing project pipeline and scaling resources a Professional Services organization within a high growth organization
• Excellent problem solver, solution-oriented with a can-do attitude

• Enthusiasm and creativity to be a leader who can inspire others
