Department Overview
The Products & Services Organization within Motorola Solutions is responsible for development of the company’s mission critical communications and mission critical intelligence portfolio, including command center applications, Land Mobile Radio (LMR) and LTE solutions, as well as managed and support services around the world. Our Products & Services Cybersecurity organization is actively investing in a broad area of cybersecurity topics, while leading the way to inspire a workforce that is passionate about building and creating secure mission critical systems and products. To do that, we’re looking for people who bring great ideas and who make our partners’ ideas better. We seek intellectually curious advisors (not order takers) who focus on outcomes to creatively solve business problems - people who not only embrace change, but who accelerate it.
The Products & Services (P&S) Cybersecurity Governance, Risk management, and Compliance (GRC) team drives risk-based cybersecurity management across all of P&S and provides priorities for the businesses from a cybersecurity perspective. It develops security policy, product/solution risk assessments, awareness, audit, partner management, and training to fulfill these objectives. We are seeking someone with a smart, creative mind to join the team, which operates at the forefront of the security industry.
Job Description

  • Participate in activities of the Products & Services GRC team, including governance, compliance, risk management, security policy, best practices, and security awareness

  • Help develop product focused risk management strategies that align with business goals and fully cover confidentiality, integrity and availability

  • Assist in identifying security policy & control gaps and recommend remediation solutions

  • Collaborate with product development and information security teams to refine security strategies which protect customer facing solutions

  • Bring innovation and creativity in applying risk management to a dynamic and cutting edge technology business

  • Help conduct periodic compliance risk assessments against Motorola Solutions Security Policies and Standards

  • Interpret & communicate information security policies & controls to business functions

  • Provide security expertise on large and complex projects

  • Help drive a longer term cybersecurity road map across the Products & Services organization

  • Translate software development industry trends such as embracing DevSecOps into policy and best practices

  • Translate external cybersecurity standards into tailored requirements for Motorola Solutions products and services

Additional details:

  • Ability to learn relevant technical subject matter quickly

  • ​Driven to continuously learn and keep pace with a fast moving and dynamic industry

  • Experience related to Industry Standards in one of the following: ISO27001/2, NIST, Cloud Security Alliance, SOC 2

  • Technical knowledge and/or experience in security, networking, systems administration, database administration, architecture or another technical domain

  • Demonstrate the ability to understand concepts and terminology in security domains including governance, risk management, architecture, compliance, and operations and be able to express them in a clear and concise manner

  • Highest level of integrity in dealing with confidential and sensitive information

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Proactive approach and enthusiasm for problem identification and solving

  • Flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities

  • Willingness to learn and stay current in this challenging and dynamic industry

  • Interest in working toward a certification related to IT Risk Management, IT Systems Control, IT Audit or IT Governance

  • Already holding any of the following will be considered a plus:

    • CRISC - Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control from ISACA

    • CISA - Certified Information Systems Auditor from CISA

    • Cloud - ISC2 CCSP and/or CSA CCSK

    • CISSP – Certified Information Security Systems Professional from ISC(2)


Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science or a related field.
  • Must have at least 2 years of professional work experience related to cyber security. Internships and post graduate degrees will also be considered as relevant experience if in a related discipline such as cybersecurity or audit.
