About the Team:

The Technology team utilizes the latest technological trends to effectively build and manage solutions in an informal, open and collaborative environment. We consist of a thriving and agile software development team that is supported by lottery and gaming specialists who all have a passion for growing our customers' businesses by providing rapid and impactful technical and business solutions.

Position Overview:

Within Camelot Illinois, the Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for configuring, managing and maintaining a broad spectrum of both internal facing and public facing production lottery services which support various Camelot business areas, the State Lottery, as well as third parties.

You will be responsible for the design, implementation and supporting the client technology needs of Camelot Illinois. We’re looking for an outgoing individual who makes this position their own, as well as bringing technical knowledge and experience to this area.

This role ensures:

  • Network technology is optimized to support and enable business objectives.
  • All the following areas are functioning efficiently: LAN and wireless, retail network, interactive channels (website), contact centers, digital platform, incident management systems, mobile applications, servers, routers, switches, etc...
  • Deploying, operating, maintaining and securing a variety of physical and virtual servers - including Windows 2008-2016, Linux: CentOS, Debian, Fedora, RedHat & PostgreSQL.
  • Virtual and hosted server knowledge of Amazon & AWS (EC2/VPC/Terraform).
  • 3rd Line experience in OS troubleshooting/escalation is absolutely necessary.
  • Advanced Active Directory (AD) administrative experience - demonstrable skills in securing, deploying, designing & managing all aspects of AD. Experience integrating AD into a network design at an architectural level.
  • Assisting our security team with cybersecurity related issues.

  • Advanced level of experience in deploying and supporting Linux and Windows Servers
  • Microsoft Active Directory and AD DNS
  • AWS - Amazon Web Services (EC2/VPC/Terraform)
  • Scripting technologies (Powershell/Bash for example)
  • 3rd Line experience in OS troubleshooting and escalation
  • Deployment and management experience of OSX / IOS / Android
  • Excellent communication skills - ability to interact with management or users
  • Excellent level of experience in deploying and supporting Windows and Linux Servers
  • Solid experience in networking technologies and network security (LAN / WAN / WIFI / Firewalls)
  • Experience with Incident management systems (Jira / Servicenow, etc)
  • Google Apps - Administration/SAML/Enterprise App integration
  • Microsoft Office Technologies
  • Meraki stack
  • Palo Alto NGFW
  • Netsuite, ServiceNow, and other cloud services

Requirements

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work related experience.
  • Currently located in the Chicagoland area and able to work in-person at our new offices in the Chicago Loop area.
  • All candidates must currently be able to work in the US without any work sponsorship. No work sponsorship is provided for this position. (Not able to assist/sponsor: H1B, student visas, etc...)
  • 5 plus years of network related work experience.
  • 4 plus years experience working with switching systems and cloud architecture.
  • 3rd Line experience in OS troubleshooting/escalation.
  • Deploying and supporting Windows and Linux Servers.
  • AWS Cloud (EC2/VPC/Terraform).
  • Managing & maintaining both on-premise and cloud based firewalls. (Preferred experience: Palo Alto / Fortinet or similar NGFWs)
  • Experience with network load balancing architecture. Network load balancing familiarity, operation, deployment and management - securing network load balancers.

Preferred:

  • Microsoft Active Directory and AD DNS.
  • Scripting technologies (Powershell/Bash for example).
  • Deployment and management experience of OSX / IOS / Android.
  • Experience with Incident management systems (Jira/Servicenow, etc).
  • Google Apps - Administration/SAML/Enterprise App integration.
  • Meraki stack.
  • Netsuite, ServiceNow, and other cloud services.
  • Excellent skills in communication being able to interact at management or user level.
