Processes purchase requisitions, change orders and requests for quotes to IT suppliers. Responsible to ensure procurement business systems data integrity and the accurate disposition of maintenance and/or support contracts for all procured IT. Performs cost analysis and volume planning for major projects (e.g., materials, components, equipment and services). Able to strategically negotiate highest quality at best value and develop new supply sources when existing suppliers are no longer viable or competitive. May recommend cost saving proposals including alternative sourcing, preferred contract or alternative technologies. Interacts closely with suppliers to resolve quality and logistical issues. Keeps current with Industry trends, pricing, and product availability. Requires domestic or global expertise of assigned Hardware/Software/Networking technologies.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Initiates Requests for Quotations with suppliers & ensures that final product meets stakeholder need.
Develops alternative project proposals for cost-savings or other beneficial aims.
Negotiates price & audit proposals against contractual, historical benchmarks.
Works with internal stakeholders for medium/high-priority and/or complex projects with appropriate oversight.
Reviews supplier contracts & participates in contract terms analysis, negotiations, etc.
Audits supplier invoices for accuracy against useable assets, works with AP to ensure process follow-through and manages company assets.
Issues purchase orders and assists to resolve logistical issues.
Ensures positive working relationships with related support groups (Legal, Fixed Assets, Asset Mgmt., AP/AR, etc.).

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does not have direct reports but may mentor less experienced associates in the role.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required
Advanced, proven knowledge of IT Procurement with specialized talents directed towards any individual discipline (i.e. HW/SW/Network)

Preferred
5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 3 years and a Master's degree; or equivalent work experience.
Microsoft office skills.
Ability to demonstrate problem solving.
General math and analytic skills.
Attention to detail.
Communication skills (email/verbal/presentation)
