Job Description

The Data Analyst will be responsible for understanding stakeholder requirements to retire legacy data warehouses and migrate important data and reports into latest Redshift & Tableau technologies. This person will be responsible for leading & managing the migration project, converting business requirements into technical details for the scrum team and reporting the project status to senior management.

Responsibilities include: 

• Work with multiple business partners to investigate & document business requirements for data & reports.

• Perform a gap analysis on data present in new systems versus old systems.

• Lead the planning & execution of legacy Data Warehouses retirement.

• Perform capacity planning of Data Warehouses with DBAs & architects.

• Operations management of legacy Data Warehouses & reporting tools.

• Participate in projects that will help drive process improvements & business value in the Data Organization. 

• Supports enterprise applications and the business intelligence function for Motorola Solutions. Ensures data integrity and availability by gathering and integrating data from internal and external sources. Maintains data libraries and databases. Develops and test web applications and other data transfer applications for the efficient and accurate dissemination of enterprise data.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills. 

• Ability to multitask and demonstrate strong time management skills. 

• Knowledge of Data warehouses like Redshift, Snowflake or similar tools.

• Knowledge of Oracle DB & SQL.

• Knowledge of reporting tools like Tableau, PowerBI or similar tools.

Basic Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, or Engineering. 

• 5 - 7+ years of leadership or project management experience.
