IT Process Analyst

We are looking for an experienced technology leader to work with multiple engineering and support teams in order to drive change throughout mortgage industry!

The Financial technology space "Fintech" is booming, and Guaranteed Rate is at the center of it. We are growing like crazy and are one of the most successful Chicago startups. We are focused on automating the mortgage process for consumers. Imagine getting a mortgage with no email, no faxing, no stack of papers in 10 days or less instead of 40 or more! So what do we want from you?

An IT Process Analyst implements the strategy, operations and process management for applications, infrastructure and operations that enable all aspects of our business set forth by the VP of IT Program and Process Management. This responsibility includes building strong internal business stakeholder relationships across the organization as well as owning external relationships with 3rd party vendors.

A strong candidate must be able to identify and raise issues as appropriate and be able to communicate and eventually facilitate a solution. In addition, a strong candidate will have the ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment, have a tenacious spirit to get things done in a timely manner.

Essential Functions

• Identifies user needs, designs and develops process strategies to meet them.

• Make recommendations for product or service enhancements.
• Facilitates process and research efforts, and act as consultants to various project teams.
• Communicate corresponding vision, charter, and roadmap to teams and team members so they are clear on their goals.
• Create user stories test cases, and test plans.
• Understand and improve company communications and processes.
• Communicate complex data in ways that are easy to understand to nontechnical and technical users alike.
• Communicate process and management vision to ensure teams buy in to key processes and establish monitoring and tools to show progress and continued compliance.
• Constantly evaluate processes to ensure efficient running of the teams removing unnecessary roadblocks or procedures.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement with consistent, efficient delivery.
• Acting as a source of escalation for issues within a team or channel.
• Build and enable a culture where people are having fun as they make significant impacts on our business.
• Perform other duties as required.

Required or Preferred Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 2+ years experience working in IT or Product required.
• Experience working with Atlassian products (Jira, confluence), road mapping tool(s), and Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint) required.

• Ability to apply broad knowledge of product/service capabilities and environment to identify new growth areas, new technology and emerging product/service opportunities.

Preferred Experience

• Basic understanding of programming and cloud based applications.
• Experience as a developer/engineer in any capacity.
• Experience leading projects or other initiatives is a plus.
