IT Support Technician

Summary of Responsibilities:
- The IT Administrative Assistant/Support role aides in the overall organization and smooth function of the IT department, while also providing general day to day helpdesk services.
Detailed Responsibilities:
- Administrative Support:
- Create and maintain various reports for the IT dept.
- Research, gather information, and report findings on information relevant to IT vendors, products, and services.
- Provides administrative support such as technical writing, editing of documents, and creation of SOPs and support documents.
- Manages technical inventory (computers, servers, etc.) and ensures inventory is documented and stored in an organized fashion.
- Performs a range of general administrative activities, such as resource distribution, purchasing support, shipping support, and communicating with vendors.
- Assists with setup of new computers, installation of updates, and adding user accounts.
- Assists with moving computer hardware and basic install of monitors, keyboards, mouse, etc.
- Assists with basic troubleshooting of technical devices (changing toner, replacing cables, etc.)
- Performs basic User Account tasks in company website (changing passwords, update accounts)
- Responds to inbound tickets, escalates to engineers as needed, and follows up with urs.
- Document any resolutions in the ticketing system and communicate back to the end user.
- General day to day helpdesk services.

- A positive attitude and superior customer service approach is a requirement.
- Excellent communication skills, as candidate will be directly interacting with users.
- Capable of managing multiple priorities, working independently and taking initiative.
- Basic technical troubleshooting skills
- Solid understanding of Windows or MAC operating systems
- Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products
- Lifting 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds
