TITLE: Lead Data Support Analyst
DUTIES: Discover Bank seeks Lead Data Support Analyst in Riverwoods, IL to provide analytical support for direct mail and email marketing campaigns. Generate files for marketing campaigns. Support segmentation and campaign strategies based on analyses. Provide data interpretations in order to determine past performance and to drive campaign/segmentation strategies. Conduct ad-hoc analyses to identify new populations, optimize segmentation strategies, increase response rate, reduce costs and improve targeting. Participate in routing new or updated strategies for legal and compliance review. Participate in monitoring campaign performance and perform data analyses to provide recommendations. Create reports and analyses to inform stakeholders of the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, segmentation strategies and to support compliance/audit data requests. Participate in gathering business requirements for report and data file creation requests. Translate business requirements into technical specifications. Utilize various software applications such as spreadsheets, relationship databases, statistical and graphical packages to assemble, manipulate and/or format data and reports. Link data from multiple data sources and perform structured analyses. Analyze financial, risk, marketing and operations data; extract and define relevant information. Promote a risk-aware culture, ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Marketing Analysis, Analytics, Statistics or a related field and four (4) years of experience in job offered or related position: participating in model design, development and implementation; participating in data mining, statistical and predictive analyses; participating in process management and improvement; utilizing key metrics and performance indicators; and utilizing technologies including SAS, SQL and UNIX. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Master’s degree and two (2) years of experience in the above listed skills.
