Home Chef is hiring a Logistics Coordinator to assist with the planning and tendering of retail and e-commerce shipping loads. This person will be communicating directly with warehouse teams, shippers, drivers and internal stakeholders. You will play an important role to make sure our products get from point A to B and resolve issues that may arise.
Detailed Responsibilities:
- Responsibility Area:
- Actively track and trace all shipments scheduled for pick up and in transit
- Log rates and assist Accounts Payable with reconciling invoices
- Troubleshoot delays and other loading, in-transit and delivery issues quickly and confidently
- Proactively communicate issues to internal and external partners where appropriate
- Secure capacity and tender loadsUse internal tools to communicate forecasted load information to all parties for truckload and LTL shipments
- Ensure brokers or carriers have NDAs, transportation agreements and other requirements like insurance in place
- Coordinate load plans internally and with all third party contacts
- Create reports on transportation cost, utilization and other KPIs
- Manage claims and other exceptional items as required
- Maintain data within internal tools
- Weekend Shift: Saturday & Sunday 8:30 - 4:30pm + 3 Week Days (Flexible schedule)

- Highly autonomous and proactive
- Strong verbal and written communicator and negotiator
- 1+ year logistics and/or transportation experience required
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Mastery of spreadsheet usage (excel, google sheets)Strong ability to multi-task and flexibly switch between tasks, detail orientation
- Strong sense for numbers in a business context e.g., prices, spend
- Willingness to travel to plant locations and suppliers as necessary (
