Our Logistics Manager position will oversee truckload operations and supply chain functions within the department, as well as manage and assist in the professional development of the Logistics Coordinators.

Detailed Responsibilities:

• Oversee OTR operational functions of the Logistics department (Retail, 3rd party direct, inbound, transfers)
• Operate as the department point person for non-ecommerce projects and initiatives
• Work cross functionally to manage and expand the inbound network
• Improve upon existing logistics networks and create new networks as needed
• Assist in the coaching and development of direct reports, delegate tasks
• Manage relationships with Home Chef’s 3rd party carrier base, vendors, and Kroger Supply Chain teams
• Interface with Technology Operations team, effectively communicating any issues with existing tools and brainstorming additional technology builds and determining prioritization of new builds
• Ensure KPIs for on-time carrier service and shipping costs are being met
• Maintain data within internal tools and build out more robust reporting
• Night and weekend tracking and troubleshooting when needed

Qualifications:

• 3+ years logistics and/or transportation experience required 
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required
• Strong sense for numbers in a business context e.g., prices, spend, etc
• Highly autonomous and proactive
• Excellent verbal and written communicator and negotiator
• Strong Excel and Google sheets skills; script knowledge preferred
• Ability to multi-task and flexibly switch between different tasks
• Strong detail orientation and organization
• Must be willing to travel 10%
• Must be available to respond to work related inquiries on nights and weekends
