Logistics Operations Manager: You will design and execute processes that deploy Logistics expertise to optimize Insurgent Brands transportation network. As the Logistics Operations Manager, you will report to the Sr. Manager, Supply Chain Operations and lead daily decision making, own strategic partner relationships, and expand reporting to improve visibility and performance within Insurgent Brand’s Supply Chain Network.

General Functions & Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily execution and management of all surface transportation activities, operational dependencies, and cost influences in a growing and dynamic transportation network
  • Manage all logistics control operations from tendering, execution, return, claims and carrier payment via the OTM TMS platform.
  • Manage and source carrier partners to support broader business goals
  • Own Carrier routing guide compliance and all transportation service and cost metrics.
  • Facilitate the maintenance of existing systems and lead the integration of new Supply Chain nodes within the broader Insurgent Brands network
  • Develop Transportation Policies and Standards for all sites within Insurgent Brands production and distribution network.
  • Lead the assembly and completion of transportation procurement events as necessary.
  • Define Logistics KPIS, set goals and regularly report on the metrics that measure performance on all modes of surface transportation.
  • Collaborate with a broad array of cross-functional partners to seamlessly integrate logistics into the processes that support production, distribution, and product line expansion.
  • Identify operational dependencies between different supply chain functions and collaborate to improve cross functional ways of working.
  • Own all metrics and standard operations related to achieving customer-specific success criteria as necessary including the mitigation of deductions, fines, penalties or charge-backs.
  • Pursue supply chain initiatives intended to improve service, improve operational efficiency, mitigate risk, and reduce cost.
  • Escalate and inform leadership of any opportunities, market trends, or threats to our overall transportation strategy.
  • Hire, manage, mentor, and develop direct reports as necessary to support business expansion.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain or Operations related field required
  • 7+ years’ supply chain, logistics, or operations management experience in a multi-site distribution network
  • Proven ability to independently lead and implement processes that enhance and improve upon supply chain partnerships
  • Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills
  • Customer-focused attitude
  • Must never be satisfied with the status quo—must always seek and drive positive change
  • Exemplify all Insurgent cultural values and be a steward of the brand                 
  • OTM TMS Experience a plus
  • Data driven, technologically savvy, and experienced user of Excel, ERP and TMS Systems.
  • Demonstrate deep knowledge of current and historical LTL, IMDL, and Truckload capacity procurement, rate negotiation, and transportation management best practices.
