What is the Manager of Agency Development & Support?
We are looking for an experienced Manager of Agency Development & Support to help us bring Clearcover insurance product solutions to an evolving agency distribution channel. You’ll have a unique vantage point within the company! You’ll have the opportunity to work across each of our functional areas to thoroughly understand our products, sales experience, and operational processes and then represent them externally. 

The ideal candidate for this role will bring a strong sales operations background in meeting the needs of various insurance distribution channels (call center, field/brick and mortar, digital, etc.). You’ll have experience building training, communication, and go-to-market strategies, while also being able to tailor content and presentations to meet the needs of different audiences. You’ll be tech-forward and be able to effectively communicate how our tech products work and the ins and outs of our auto insurance offering.

You should be highly motivated, goal-oriented, and have the ability to manage details across various projects. You should also be a natural problem-solver who can work amidst ambiguity and be willing (and able) to roll up your sleeves to get the job done. This will be fun, but it won’t be easy.

What will you work on?

  • Sales Support Management – Lead the development of an agency support unit and manage a small group of agency support specialists.
  • Agency Development – Serve as the primary point-of-contact for best practices (i.e. agency guide and knowledge base materials) to optimize performance and profitability.
  • Training Strategy – Lead the development and ongoing management of agency training and support needs. Collaborate with Brand, Product, and Customer Advocacy teams to develop content and supporting media assets that meet the needs of multiple agency types. 
  • Agency Communications – Lead our agency communication strategy across multiple channels.
  • Agency Onboarding & Compliance – Work with operational teams to onboard new agencies and streamline license and appointment processes.
  • Sales Support - Handle escalated agency support questions and design operational processes that can support agencies at scale.
  • Agency Support Management – Build and forecast agency workforce management needs. Recruit, train, and manage agency support staff.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration – Work effectively with members of customer service, brand, compliance, operational teams to effectively support the channel. 

What are our must haves?

  • You’ve fluent working across various insurance distribution channels. You’re licensed in property & casualty insurance and have experience working with various agency types.
  • You’re highly cross-functional. You know how to simplify operational processes and work across multiple functional areas to address issues head-on.
  • You have great relationship skills. You’re able to build effective relationships, both internally and externally, and can navigate complex relationships.
  • You’re a great communicator. You’re able to effectively communicate the features and key value propositions of our product.
  • You understand insurance compliance. You’re fluent with agency licensing and appointment regulations and supporting operational processes.
  • You’re hands-on and a self-starter. You have the ability to lead and drive initiatives with little oversight – the persistency and tenacity to break down barriers while also bringing people together towards a common goal.
  • You’re flexible. You have the ability to work amidst ambiguity and adapt as we grow and expand.
  • You have a growth mindset. You’re driven to improve performance through continued learning.
