Job Description

When you join the Nielsen team, you’re signing up for an experience that requires flexibility, curiosity, and passion. As a Manager, Client Service you will: 

  • Have ownership of high quality client deliverables

  • Act as a strategic client partner and trusted advisor to key and complex clients

  • Be accountable for supporting the region in achieving and exceeding revenue targets through excellence in partnership with your Sales colleagues

  • Have accountability for knowledge management, including client playbooks, best practices, vertical expertise, etc.

  • Work closely with the Global Expanded Verticals Leadership team and BASES product leadership to ensure BASES bundle of products and services are robust and actionable for the industries

  • Coach analysts on projects, guiding the development of quality analyses

  • Drive capacity planning activities, to ensure work is being done efficiently and in a timely manner

Responsibilities

  • Client Leadership

    • Leads client meetings, presents study results and conducts external presentations, as appropriate

    • Manages the overall success of client deliverables

    • Accountable for the success of assigned projects

    • Prepares and presents study results to clients

    • Maintains client standards: deliverables, terminology, questionnaire standards, study designs, etc. and creates client playbooks

    • Resolves or seeks support for resolution of project issues to maintain timing and delivery standards

    • Acts as final reviewer for project work, excluding forecasts, for small/simpler projects

  • Client Satisfaction

    • Works closely with Sales team to understand clients’ business priorities and opportunities for engagement

    • Provides detailed feedback to inexperienced analysts and drives development of senior analysts to ensure high quality client deliverables

    • Assist with special projects to provide extra value to clients

  • Analytical Excellence

    • Strong understanding of all Nielsen Innovation services/tools

    • Well-versed in non-standard study types (ie restage, future state, complex optimization, etc)

    • Ability to land complex results in a simple story

    • Participate in thought leadership

  • Talent Management

    • Provides analysts coaching and feedback on a study by study basis

    • Identify development areas for analysts, looking for opportunities to stretch and grow junior talent and communicates it to Analytics team

    • Celebrate success and milestones of junior level associates

    • Works with senior management to ensure adequate resourcing to manage future client demand

    • May have a direct report within CS

  • Corporate Contributions

    • Takes on opportunities to contribute to the broader organization through task forces and special projects.

Qualifications

  • Detail orientation and strong organization skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to think strategically about training and development needs

  • Strong working knowledge of Innovation Practice products and services, and ability to execute a variety of complex projects with limited support

  • Works with the VP-DIRs to help execute analytic strategy

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to deal with a variety of performance situations

  • Drive success of projects independently

  • Ability to think strategically about client objectives; connect insights outside of project silo
