As a Cloud/SaaS provider of industry-leading Talent Activation/Human Resources software, our ability to consistently and accurately deliver a quality product is crucial. As the manager of Corporate IT, you will be responsible for everything associated with SilkRoad's Corporate IT operations. This includes software licensing, networking, physical hardware, cloud-based infrastructure, system security and IT staff management. This is a high-profile, high-visibility position reporting directly to the head of Technology. As a key member of the senior technology management team you will have a voice in how SilkRoad's overall technology vision takes shape and evolves. Strong communication skills as well as a desire to get your hands dirty are key attributes of a successful candidate for this role. 

Responsibilities:

All employees of SilkRoad are expected to use good business judgment and appropriate discretion and decision making while performing responsibilities of the position. We rely on our employees to be thinkers not just doers.

  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for electronic data processing, computer systems operations and corporate IT security.
  • Peer with departmental managers to regularly discuss corporate support.
  • Partner with the rest of the senior technical management team to define and execute on technology initiatives.
  • Assist other departments with technical system requirements, specifications, costs, and implementation timelines.
  • Hire and manage information systems personnel and contractors to design, develop, implement, operate, and administer computer and telecommunications software, networks, and information systems.
  • Manage IT Service desk operations that provide end user support to 250+ SilkRoad staff and all first level operational issues.
  • Develop and manage IT budget including all IT related recurring expenditures.
  • Provide training to associates about use of existing technology as well as providing individual technical support upon request.
  • Maintain current and accurate inventory of technology hardware, software, and resources.
  • Monitor and analyze systems regularly for efficient operation and stability. Report on performance metrics and targeted SLA's.
  • Manage and maintain licensing and licensing compliance for all corporate applications and systems.
  • Support and maintain critical infrastructure applications such as Office365, Microsoft Azure, AzureAD, Atlassian Jira, Confluence and Bitbucket.

Required Skills

  • Hands on manager capable of supporting hybrid Azure / On-premise corporate Microsoft based environment.

  • Builds strong teams; hires and develops resources to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Office365, Azure cloud computing, Cisco Meraki networks and Microsoft operating systems in local, SaaS, and IaaS computing environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft licensing and support policies.
  • Foundational understanding of AzureAD, integrating 3rd party applications and Single Sign On with Multifactor Authentication.
  • Comfortable with supporting local and remote users and sites in a global organization with a mixed Windows 10 and Apple OS environment.
  • Experience with iOS/Andriod mobile device management solutions.
  • Experience designing, developing and deploying Corporate IT infrastructure solutions.
  • Well versed in how to implement, manage, maintain corporate security policies.
  • Able to install and administer computer hardware, software, and networks.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Information Technology is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of management experience is required.
  • Microsoft Azure Certification (Preferred).
  • Microsoft Server Certification (Preferred).
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (Preferred).
  • ITIL Certification (Preferred).
