Manager, Licensing Services leads a team of license advocates, administrators and/or analysts to support the on boarding of talent onto high performing sales teams across GoHealth’s Marketplace.

In this role, you will bring varied experience in the insurance industry, including training, licensing and a passion for driving results throughout the candidate/customer experience. They will meet with business leaders to understand staffing and licensing needs and build strategies that deliver proficient, compliant and ready to sell agents to their program teams. They must bring excellent collaboration skills and have a high degree of flexibility to accommodate and support a range of staffing and licensing needs throughout changing business dynamics.

Responsibilities:
• Provides support to all phases of the candidate license onboarding (state LOA training, LOA exam, resident/non-resident license and carrier appointments)
• Develops, measures and monitors productivity goals and quality levels of team members and redirects resources as needed
• Collaborates with peers, senior level leaders and other stakeholders (recruiting, HR, business leaders) to identify opportunities to optimize our talent pipeline, licensing footprints and agents’ abilities to become ready to sell
• Designs and facilitates financially feasible pre-licensing training and testing experiences that are executed on time, with excellence and lead to exceptional pass rates; analyzes and monitors pass rate trends to leverage best practices across other locations
• Provides leadership to direct reports to implement, support and measure the effectiveness of ongoing testing, licensing and certification initiatives
• Guides the development plans for team members
• Supports the delivery of larger scale licensing/appointment projects (e.g. new business, growth initiatives, etc.)
• Collaborates with colleagues to share insights and lessons learned from projects and learning experiences in the spirit of continuous improvement; identifies opportunities to enhance streamlined workflows and provides recommendations to management
• Supports transparent and effective measurement/reporting of licensing and certification initiatives
• Takes an active role in creating an environment of innovation, collaboration, transparency, accountability and trust

Skills and Experience:
• BA degree or related experience
• 3 + years of licensing experience is required
• 3 + years of leadership experience is required
• Must have thorough understanding of state and federal licensing requirements
• Detail oriented to ensure data integrity in the compliance management system and other resources
• Experience with licensing resources (e.g. Agent Sync, NIPR, NAIC, SIRCON)
• Highly proficient with MS Office applications (Excel, Outlook, etc.)
• High degree of flexibility and agility to pivot quickly and respond to business dynamics
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts
• Exceptional listening skills and emotional intelligence to read and interpret team and leader dynamics
• Interest and passion for continuous improvement and leveraging the expertise of other team members
• Ability to self-direct and self-administer with limited administrative support
• Comfort with ambiguity and changing context
• Comfort with challenging others respectfully and encouraging spirited debate
• Strong ability to build high trust relationships with leaders at all levels
