Manager, Mergers & Acquisitions Advisory

Our Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) practice is seeking a Manager to join our rapidly growing team. In this dynamic role, you will work with our national M&A practice servicing both corporate and private equity clients, which includes leading operational and technology assessments during the due diligence phase and planning as part of the carve-out or merger integration transactions. Our M&A team includes a variety of seasoned, expert, and award-winning professionals.
You will be an integral part of our team, helping shape our office culture and participate in the entrepreneurial process of growing an office with triple digit growth (strategy formulation, recruiting, team building, practice development, etc.).
Here’s what you’ll be doing:
Lead Transaction Services teams serving clients across industries (with specific capabilities in mergers & acquisitions), while demonstrating executive presence with C-level client counterparts
- Facilitate due diligence projects focused on identifying operational and technology strategy, organizational structures, and current state business processes and supporting technology
- Assess due diligence targets respective operating models and organizational structures against leading practices and industry benchmarks
- Lead engagement teams on transaction advisory, guiding the team to prepare focused request lists and agenda, facilitating client reviews, and providing leadership over deliverables
- Drive the development/enhancement of WMP’s M&A methodologies (diligence, planning, carve-out, etc.) and approaches to client delivery
- Coach and manage other consultants and actively participate in the performance review process
Here’s what you’ll need to bring to the table:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
- Minimum of 5 years participating on business consulting and/or IT project based work / teams
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience managing complex operational and/or IT projects in one or more of the following industries: manufacturing & distribution, hi-tech/software, or healthcare
- Strong project management methodology background, including schedule, scope, issue and risk management experience, change management, strategic planning and analysis
- Consulting firm experience preferred, but not required
- Experience managing or analyzing P&L statements, and financial modeling skills to build and manage complex synergy and cash flow models related to M&A transactions a plus, but not required
- Experience in IT carve-out and merger integration a plus, but not required
- Candidates must be eligible to work permanently in the United States without sponsorship
- Ability to travel up to 50%

Based on pay transparency guidelines, the salary range for this role can vary based on your proximity to one of our West Monroe offices (see table below). Information on our competitive total rewards package, including our bonus structure and benefits is here. Individual salaries are determined by evaluating a variety of factors including geography, experience, skills, education, and internal equity.

Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan, purchase shares from our employee stock ownership program and be eligible to receive annual bonuses. Employees will also receive unlimited flexible time off and ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Ten weeks of paid parental leave will also be available for use after successful completion of one year of employment.
