Job Description
TITLE: Manager Modeling
DUTIES: Discover Products Inc., seeks Manager Modeling in Riverwoods, IL to motivate and mentor the team of data scientists/modelers to grow their skills and careers, focused on creating a nurturing environment, which encourages innovation and continual learning. Leverage extensive, deep technical knowledge and leadership skills to drive the development of data science solutions and implement data-driven recommendations and outcomes. Act as a liaison among Decision Management, business technology teams, and other business partners in model-life cycle to escalate model time-to-market. Build relationships with business partners. Allocate resources and prioritize projects. Ensure modeling projects are delivered in a timely manner. Maintain a high level of competency in statistical and analytical principles, tools, and techniques, and support the advancement of "best-in-class" analytical capabilities to unlock new capabilities and performance, and quickly adapt to modern modeling techniques. Demonstrate technical knowledge in analytical tools. Promote a risk-aware culture to ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes.
REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Applied Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or related field and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation: utilizing statistical modeling and analytics tools, including SAS Enterprise Guide, SAS Macros, and R; utilizing big data tools, including SQL; and developing analytical and statistical models, including logistic and linear regression.
