Manager Ocean & Air Operations
To assist Director and different business units in streamlining Processes, ensure optimal usage of fourkites in-house systems and e-Commerce through leading continuous improvement of software, processes and assistance in training of internal customers. To recommend and facilitate the design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of Fourkites e-Commerce & in-house applications / reports. To ensure the highest quality applications with emphasis on functionality, flexibility, accuracy and ease of use. Provide monthly metrics on performance.
Primary Objectives:
- Build, lead, manage, motivate to maximize performance from internal teams across operations and data quality for Pilot/Production customers
- Design reports and structure to filter report Data from different software systems to measure and monitor issues, cost and occupancy of direct reports
- Oversee day to day operations, including coordinating team coverage, providing assistance and solving problems
- Monitor effectiveness and quality in servicing international shipments and customers as well as continuously drive for process improvement
- Recommend system modifications and future development possibilities.
- Facilitate, be part of discussions with product/engineer/data science teams in based on users’ feedback (operations team, data quality team, customers, sales/implementation/solution consultants)
- Manage service escalations with both customers and suppliers
Other Key Responsibilities:
- Perform within reason any other task that will assist the Company to fulfill the needs of its internal and external customers
- Liaise with other business units in a professional manner.
- Facilitate Training/overview for Business units where required.
- Communicate to the business any updates that are happening, also what is required of the business to ensure we are meeting customer requirements and reducing manual intervention
