P/E delivery teams are independent units with expertise across one or more of the core capabilities. Each technology delivery team is led by a Managing Director who in turn reports to the Chief Operating Officer. The Managing Director - Strategy Practice will lead the Digital & Technology Strategy capability area and will report to the Chief Strategy Officer.The mission of the Strategy Practice is to reinvent or transform the value chains of our clients to align with the digital economy. The scope of services are- market opportunity identification, digital / customer-centricity maturity benchmarking; CX strategy, user-centered research, digital operating model transformation vision/strategy at an enterprise or a business function or at an operational or IT level; design and validation, technology strategy, prioritized execution roadmaps, business cases and financial ROI, skills matrix development and change management; with an industry lens. Some of these engagements will involve specific technology capabilities described above- but will be supported by specialized consultants from those practices. Our approach to benchmarking / vision / strategy / prioritization is driven through research and design, applying discovery-driven strategy, design thinking and lean UX principles. The follow-through of our Strategy/Roadmap engagements is often large-scale multi-practice execution and managed services engagements; an elevation of our brand across the clients we serve and new engagement opportunities.The leader of the Strategy practice will bring a deep understanding of the practice offerings and methodologies described above. She or he will have experience in shaping Productive Edge opinions around industry and customer specific challenges and digital opportunities, rapidly understanding and diagnosing client challenges and opportunities; rethinking business models, processes and prioritizing execution using modern technologies and Productive Edge capability areas. The Strategy practice leader will have strong experience in engaging with C-Level clients throughout the lifecycle of the strategy engagements including participating in the sales stage and working closely with the sales team. The candidate will be a master in collaborating with other practice leaders. The Strategy practice leader will develop offerings and methodologies for successful delivery; build capability within their teams to execute the breadth of strategy services successfully, clearly define engagement model with clients, focus on rapid execution and rapid impact, be familiar with delivering within an Agile framework, build go-to-market plans, author industry specific and domain specific thought leadership content, work with marketing and business development for demand generation and manage the Practice from a revenue growth, profitability, talent and service delivery standpoint.Experience & Leadership Requirements:

  • 18+ years of operations transformation strategy industry or consulting experience with the last 3-4 years in a senior executive / practice level responsibility. (To be clear, we are not seeking experts in business or corporate or competitive strategy). Experience must be from a tier-1 firm.
  • Clear understanding of enterprise value chain concepts at a business model, process, technology and organization level and depth in at least 3-4 major business functions.
  • Must have understanding and comfort with digital technologies such as Analytics, Cloud Infrastructure and Business Applications along with working within an Agile delivery framework. Understanding should extend to the application of such technologies across the value chain and their inter-linkages. (To be clear, we are not seeking hands-on engineering or implementation experience)
  • Proven experience in engaging with both business and IT leaders at Fortune 1000 companies in industries such as Tech, Health/Life/P&C Insurance, Healthcare, Pharma, CPG, Retail, Banking & Financial Services.
  • Experience partnering with leaders from other practices, client partners/business development teams and orchestrating such engagements
  • Handle need for travel when necessary and permitted (25%+)

Education:

  • MBA strongly preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering is strongly preferred.
