Hi, welcome to PerkSpot. We’re looking for an experienced and strategic Marketplace Operations Manager to oversee both sides of our constantly growing marketplace operation.

As the manager of our active marketplace, you will work with company leadership and the marketplace team to supervise all aspects of PerkSpot’s product, functionality, and customer experience. Your knowledge of the customer and their journey, along with an ability to identify and solve complex operational problems, will help PerkSpot’s platform run effectively. Meet the Marketplace Team

The Marketplace Team at PerkSpot is made of talented, tactical individuals with the success of the PerkSpot platform top of mind. As a member of this team, you will work with the Chief Marketplace Officer to understand all of PerkSpot’s OKRs. Your understanding of the ins and outs of PerkSpot’s business will help you as you map out the journeys of everyone who interacts with the PerkSpot platform. These journeys will aid leadership in making important decisions regarding improvements and functionality as a whole, and help make us as competitive as can be in providing the best possible product to our customers. 

Life as the Marketplace Operations Manager:

  • Mapping out end-to-end operational flows for members, merchants, and the PerkSpot loyalty program
  • Defining all possible contact points for both members and merchants
  • Allowing leadership, product, and marketing teams to easily visualize the member and merchant experience in their partnership with PerkSpot
  • Ensuring 100% data accuracy and coverage for our vast network of merchants with regards to onboarding, tracking, upgrading, and reporting
  • Developing the flow of PerkSpot’s loyalty program, identifying gaps, and offering suggestions for improvements 
  • Developing the flow of PerkSpot’s High Value Categories (hotels, credit cards, theme parks, etc.) and including them in companywide communications
  • Integrating PerkSpot’s CMS, ESP, BI, and internal tools across all channels
  • Identifying flow bottlenecks or gaps in our merchant and member experience and working with leadership to minimize or eliminate them
  • Prioritizing PerkSpot’s value and success; constantly thinking of ways to improve the product
  • Attending regular team and staff meetings to go over company goals, success benchmarks, and sales strategies

What we’re looking for:

  • 4+ years of experience in marketing operations ideally within a large, high-growth company
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Operations, Business, or similar
  • Managerial experience strongly preferred
  • Experience creating and presenting complex workflows and identifying/solving their inefficiencies
  • Proficiency in software such as HubSpot, SendGrid, or Sailthru, as well as BI tools like Domo
  • Proven experience presenting complex workflows and making them easy to comprehend; top-notch interpersonal communication skills
  • Exceptional process mapping and critical thinking skills
  • Analytical and data-driven approach to problem-solving
  • Detail-oriented, organized style of working
  • Ability to multitask, as well as set and manage one’s own deadlines
  • Desire to learn and grow within a fast-paced, constantly changing work environment
  • Proven understanding of PerkSpot’s values as a whole and a willingness to work hard to achieve company goals

Your First Few Months

You’ll start by creating workflow maps for all journeys - members, merchants, and loyalty members. Through this exercise, you will identify roadblocks, gaps, and inefficiencies in the experiences of these individuals. After presenting your findings to leadership and PerkSpot’s internal teams, you will strategize ways to minimize and eliminate the inefficiencies, and work out a long-term strategy for improvements. Eventually, you will build a collaborative relationship with each of PerkSpot’s internal teams, and become an expert on evaluating and improving every aspect of the platform’s operations. In time, your work will have a lasting impact on PerkSpot’s platform and, by extension, its 17 million users and beyond.
