Title: Middle Office - Operations Analyst
Location: Chicago
Department: Operations - Wolverine Trading
Position Summary
We are seeking an achievement-oriented, proactive contributor who possesses a strong understanding of trade life cycle and reconciliation principles. The analyst would be responsible for preparation of daily trade positions reconciliations and resolution of daily variances.
Responsibilities

  • Interface daily with internal systems and trading desks to assist with cash and trade position reconciliation to various clearing firms
  • Promptly researching and correcting discrepancies and communicating actions to the appropriate parties
  • Reconcile a variety of products including options, equities, futures, spot currencies, fixed income products
  • Independently manage and develop current reconciliation code for greater efficiency and transparency
  • Communicate and facilitate break resolution between the trading desks and Clearing Firms
  • Maintain and review daily, monthly and yearly middle office reconciliations for financial and accounting issues
  • Participate in Ad Hoc reporting requests
  • Collaborate with compliance and other internal groups to assist with their initiatives


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field
  • Preferred experience working with a broker dealer or similar back-office operations in options/equities
  • Understanding of a variety of financial products and derivatives
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong time management skills
  • Exceptional oral and written, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Excel)
  • Understanding of developing, altering, reading code, some exposure to SQL code, Transact SQL skills are preferred
  • Demonstrates effective work habits and organizational skills by prioritizing and planning, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • All candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
