Responsibilities:

• Work closely with National UW Leadership to stay current on loan products and requirements, GR and industry UW trends and policies, and to identify areas where additional training is needed for UW, Sales and Processing related to underwriting/qualification
• Conduct effective new hire and continued education training for the Underwriting department
• Create and maintain training curriculum
• Interact and engage audience with questions and hands-on practice
• Host live in classroom, virtual, recorded, and on-site training sessions
• Track attendance and active participation levels
• Administer tests to measure participants retention of class material
• Deploy surveys to measure class experience/perception and collect feedback for improvements

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of FHA/VA, Conventional underwriting/processing experience
• 5+ years of mortgage experience
• Background and proven track record in training
• This position would require travel to HQ, and as needed for national training events
• Knowledge of FNMA/DU and FHLMC/LP guidelines and automated Underwriting systems
• Encompass and GUS experience are preferred
• Superior organizational and time management skills
