This position
The Network Engineer ensures DocuSign’s network; load balancing and firewall systems are robust and reliable. This includes working with cloud and physical datacenters. This individual must have strong communication and project management skills as they will work with teams across the DocuSign organization.
This position reports to the Director of Global Infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Work with engineering teams to build resilient, operable, fault tolerant systems
- Evaluate security, performance, and capacity of systems using telemetry and a data driven approach.
- Support SSL certificate requests
- Work with vendors, facilities teams, compliance, security, and Technical Operations staff to implement capacity and performance plans
Basic Qualifications
- 5 years Network Engineering experience
- Experience with load balancing devices such as F5 and HAProxy
- Experience with firewall administration
- Experience with network routing protocols such as BGP
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing DNS infrastructure
- Proficiency with at least one cross platform scripting language such as PowerShell, Python, or bash
- Knowledge and experience with SSL Certificate management
- Knowledge and experience with basic Systems Administration
- Experience automating routine tasks and a drive to avoid repetitive manual work
- Understanding of security best practices, compliance frameworks, forensic investigation and defense in depth
- Excellent presentation and communication skills including the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, jargon free language
