Aptitive is a Chicago-based data & analytics consulting firm that helps companies to uncover the power of their data. We’re currently looking for an office manager to run day-to-day office operations, be a point person for the team, and help to cultivate a positive company culture. 

Beyond office management, this role will also provide the opportunity to work with the HR, Recruiting, and Marketing teams.  Depending on the strengths and interests of the individual, career growth in these areas may be available.

What You’ll Do

General Office Management

  • Oversee, manage, and run the Aptitive office 

  • Plan and implement cultural activities for Aptitive Employees

  • Supports company operations by maintaining office systems and supporting staff

  • Monitor inventory, place orders for, and put away shipments of office supplies 

  • Maintain office efficiency by planning and implementing office systems, layouts, and equipment procurement

  • Assist with maintaining Aptitive’s Wiki

HR & Recruiting

The HR & Recruiting team will train and support the right candidate to ensure ongoing success assisting HR & Recruiting in areas such as the following. 

  • Design and implement office policies by establishing standards and procedures

  • Onboarding of new Employees

  • Support in sourcing candidates

  • Actively participates in the review and selection of employee benefits 

  • Assist with additional HR and Recruiting as required

Marketing 

The Marketing team will train and support the right candidate to ensure ongoing success assisting Marketing in areas such as the following. 

  • Design and implement office policies by establishing standards and procedures

  • Assist marketing with social media campaigns as needed

  • Create and maintain a library of sales enablement materials including collateral and templates

  • Support marketing events with planning, logistics, and execution

  • Set up and send marketing communications using our email marketing tool

  • Assist in creating and/or editing our WordPress based website

Requirements

  • Ability to prioritize tasks

  • Experience with Word, Excel, and Google

  • Ability to take initiative and implement solutions

  • Polished written and oral communication skills

  • Managing processes and promoting process improvement

  • Supply and Inventory Management

  • Ability to be in the office between 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. with given flexibility

  • High energy, positive attitude, and an independent thinker

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills

  • Position requires full time on site in Chicago

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Authorized to work in the United States

  • Fun and enjoyable to work with! 

Desired Experience

  • Proven ability to manage an office or similar environment

  • Experience at a technology or consulting company

  • Ability to lead internal initiatives 

  • Desire to learn new skills and technologies 

  • Knowledge of InDesign, PhotoShop, and/or Illustrator is a plus

  • Experience working on Marketing, Recruiting, and/or HR related tasks
