What you get to do: 

• Lead a team under the direction of the VP, Operational Risk to implement system controls and operational process improvements to reduce potential compliance risk.
• Lead the charge on Compliance issues by evaluating and stopping them from happening ASAP, understanding the cause and sizing the affected population, designing and launching a prospective solution (manual or automated), and remediating affected customers. 
  • Experience documenting issues, controls, etc., a huge bonus!
• Redesign, standardize, and improve our processes to increase conversion and reduce compliance risk. Lead with a “Customer First” mentality to improve our customer experience in the process. 
• Create a governance framework and repository of procedures, and controls that protect our business from compliance exposure. 
• Be familiar with the alphabet soup of regulation, e.g., ECOA, TILA,TCPA, FCRA, BSA, SCRA, MLA, etc. 
• Along with Compliance and Legal, prioritize the business workload of proactive solutions, corrective action remediation, and floor training and communication to provide a sound execution strategy for risk mitigation. Work with Product, Technology, and Floor teams to build on these initiatives.

What you will bring to the team:

• Previous in either compliance, audit, risk management, lending, operations required.
• A quantitative mindset. Experience in data programming languages such as SQL/R/Python and data visualization tools such as Periscope and Tableau are not required but a big plus.
• Must have demonstrated quantifiable, compelling achievements in previous roles. Keen focus on execution with a bias towards action.
• Results-driven, goal-oriented mindset with high intent on delivering impactful eventualities. Keen focus on execution.
• Ability to multitask, execute quickly, and get things done.
• Ability to tackle ambiguous and complicated problems and create robust, scalable solutions.
• Organized, meticulous, and detail-obsessed individual.
