POSITION OVERVIEW
Bartesian is seeking a leader to improve, lead, and continue to build upon a robust and efficient operation. This person must be a hands-on-leader who will work alongside the CEO to identify and execute operational goals, while deploying the processes and supporting infrastructure to get there. Building strong relationships with strategic suppliers and execute deals that support the rapid growth of the company. As a member of the executive team, this person must work effectively at both the strategic and tactical levels. This individual will have a huge impact on Bartesian’s success.
ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITES
- Oversee operation functions: strategy and goals, development of systems, processes, and metrics that will drive the success of the business.
- Negotiate pricing, performance guarantees, inventory and payment terms, etc., to minimize product costs and production lead time while maximizing quality.
- Own and optimize vendor evaluation, and manufacturing efficiencies.
- Travel to contract-manufacturers and key component suppliers world-wide to ensure close relationships and closed-loop learning between vendors and engineering to achieve cost reduction and quality targets.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s in Engineering, Operations or related field.
- Proven success running operations in a small and large business (hands on + big picture).
- Direct experience negotiating mutually beneficial partnerships with contract manufacturers.
- Strong technical foundation, with knowledge of engineering processes, manufacturing methods, process improvement programs, lead manufacturing, and quality procedures.
- Experience within CPG industry required.
