TITLE: Principal Information Management Systems Management
DUTIES: Discover Products Inc. seeks Principal Information Management Systems Management in Riverwoods, IL to participate in electronic data processing, information systems, systems analysis and computer programming. Participate in creating reports and controls that identify or mitigate risk for Consumer Banking operational processes. Participate in test and control to ensure validity of reporting. Support audit and compliance analyses and reports. Link data from multiple data sources and structure analysis. Utilize software applications including spreadsheets, relationship databases, statistical and graphical packages to assemble, manipulate and/or format data and reports. Provide reporting, data and information to risk and compliance teams to assess risk and support mitigation efforts. Provide reporting, data, and information to external regulatory or monitoring entities in compliance with state or federal laws. Analyze financial and operations data and extracts and defines information. Promote a risk-aware culture, ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes.
REQUIREMENTS : Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics or a related quantitative field and six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in job offered or related position: working with Risk or Compliance teams to assess risk and support mitigation efforts; using software applications including spreadsheets or relational databases to assemble, manipulate or format data and reports; and utilizing analytical tools/platforms including SAS, SQL, Unix, Python, R, Hadoop, MS Office and Tableau. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Master’s degree and four (4) years of experience in the above listed skills.
