Pro Audio Category Manager
In the span of four years, Reverb has become the largest music instrument website in the world, transforming the way musicians buy and sell gear. The Reverb Pro Audio Category Manager represents that connection for the Reverb community. You will be responsible for growing our international Pro Audio community and curating the world’s best collection of gear.
At its core, Reverb is a product-driven company. Customer experience, both for buyers and sellers, is our top priority. You should have experience using Reverb and come from a tech-related background. This role requires vision and the ability to quickly make informed decisions. You should be comfortable with the ambiguity, excitement and rewards that come with building a new business. The position is based in Chicago, IL at our HQ and requires occasional travel.

Responsibilities:
- Work with the Director of Category & Product Marketing and senior leadership to recommend, develop and execute strategy to grow the Reverb Pro Audio community of buyers and sellers.
- Engage with the global Pro Audio community online, in media, and in person as a voice of expertise and education.
- Collaborate with our Content team to produce industry-leading reviews, tutorials, artist pieces, and more.
- Guide Pro Audio catalog marketing and merchandising efforts across site/app, email, and advertising channels.
- Curate the best new, used, and vintage Pro Audio gear for all levels of buyers.
- Develop new global partnership opportunities with artists, suppliers, and shops.
- Advocate for improvements to our product experience in service of Pro Audio users.
- Train our Customer Experience team on Pro Audio concepts.
- Own and maintain Pro Audio buyer cohorts and personas.
- Track and report on key growth and financial metrics.
Requirements:
- 5-10 years experience in sales, marketing, or business development, preferably with an e-commerce company.
- Successful track record of building and growing a business, or a new division of an existing business.
- Expertise in recording concepts and gear, music and sound production.
- Ability to develop financial projections and manage a budget.
- Ability to present a strategic growth plan with metrics.
- A quick thinker fast to act with the ability to articulate impactful strategies.
- Experience and a network within the music instrument industry a plus.
