Department OverviewThe Global Procurement Organization provides the resources, processes, governance, systems and controls for acquiring goods and services efficiently, effectively and ethically from a diverse supply base that provides Motorola Solutions a competitive advantage on cost, quality, technology, service and delivery. The Product Procurement Organization is responsible for the acquisition of all Hardware, Software and Supply Chain Services required for Motorola to design, build and distribute Radio and Accessory products. The Global Procurement team is evolving from more traditional sourcing and procurement goals by looking beyond simple cost savings and creating value for the corporation by improving product profitability, increasing supplier collaboration and leveraging supplier roadmaps to bring new solutions to our business partners. We are a client focused team designed to bring value and help lead innovations, revenue and savings within the business.
Job Description
Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations
Create and Implement a Global Category Software Strategy
Develop a supply base to meet the changing requirements of embedded software into products
Lead Supplier negotiations & relationships
Manage quote requests & maintain pricing information for suppliers
Ensure a framework for strategic contractual relationships with limited risk
Provide subject matter expertise on complex purchasing, technical & contractual issues related to software
Achieve assigned commercial category goals including but not limited to cost reduction
Develop relationships with Senior Leadership across all business units
Influence Engineering and Development teams
Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations Specific to Software Category
Keep Apttus records current/accurate. Work to update current contracts and Executive Summaries.
Create product usage data and keep up to date.
Maintain and track task list (including SW legal funnel), and help drive actions to resolution.
Assist in creation of Non-Disclosure Agreements.
Direct internal clients to Category Managers.
Maintain data related to suppliers: part numbers, spend & savings, usage, inventory, etc.
Access supplier portals to maintain licenses, accounts, End Of Life/Support product information.
10+ years work experience in a business or technical role
Experience or understanding of software contracts and pricing preferred
Experience working with teams and Suppliers is preferred
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
Strong word processing skills
Ability to communicate in English
Ability to manage many tasks concurrently
Strong G Suite and data analytics skills
Ability to work with global work partners
Experience managing a Request For Proposal(RFP) process for software
Experience managing complex strategic sourcing projects
Experience working in a large complex, matrixed global business

Basic Requirements
Bachelor's Degree, in Engineering/Business/Supply Chain/Procurement or other discipline
5 years of procurement experience
