Our employees have the flexibility to work in one of our office locations, completely remote, or a hybrid of the two. Please note, we are hiring on a remote working basis only in the U.S. and Canada.
ABOUT THE TEAM
Corporate Development is charged with identifying and establishing opportunities for value creation through a combination of industry analysis, business review and strategic partnerships. Working horizontally with key stakeholders across the organization, the Corporate Development team aims to develop collaborative engagements with external parties that lead to positive business results for Basis as a whole.
WAYS YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE
Reporting into the SVP, Corporate Development, the Procurement Manager will be the “go to” sourcing and contract expert for Senior Management, playing a key role in guiding the Company through the procurement and legal process. You will also work closely with the leaders across the organization to achieve cost savings, contract uniformity, and risk mitigation for Basis. You’ll also contribute by:
- Critically evaluating services provided by vendors in relation to terms and conditions
- Negotiating with vendors to secure the best pricing, service level agreements, and remedies
- Proactively managing open contracts by way of processing SoWs, Amendments, and Change Orders
- Retaining all signed contracts in addition to a database of vendor contract information
- Collecting and analyzing contract information for financial management; responsible for monitoring financial impact
- Creating, defining and serving as an escalation point to enforce contract provisions when key performance indicators (KPIs) are not met
- Reporting and monitoring on supplier/vendor performance against contract requirements
- Managing the selection of new and existing suppliers and vendors through stakeholder alignment
- Managing supplier/vendor relationships and interfacing with key business leaders on supplier issues
- Maintaining the procurement process with the proper controls
- Identifying and implementing procedures to reduce inefficiencies
- Leading cross-functional RFP process for key strategic initiatives, ensuring all stakeholder’s needs are met. Creating database of all active contracts and monitor key terms
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
- Must have 3-5 years of procurement experience, specifically in the acquisition of software, data and professional services
- Must have experience drafting and reviewing contract agreements such as MLAs, CSAs, and MSAs
- Must have experience managing RFPs
- Must have experience in financial analysis reporting
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence change
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
BONUS POINTS
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; preferably in business, business administration, finance or supply chain
