What we’re looking for:

We are seeking a Quality Inspector to join the Fast Radius team. This person will be responsible for day-to-day execution within our quality department. You will be responsible for insuring product meets customer and internal quality requirements. Reporting into the Inspection Lead, you will have opportunity to be on the leading edge of part and process qualification with exciting new technologies

Required Skills/Competencies:

  • Basic math and able to convert metric and imperial measurement units
  • Basic computer literacy including Word and Excel and complete inspection documents
  • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and apply the appropriate inspection of product(s)
  • Must be able to identify defects in product(s) by means of measurement and/or visual analysis and generate nonconforming reports
  • Self-motivated, ability to work efficiently and stay on task with minimal supervision
  • Adhere to quality assurance procedures and processes
  • Complete all work in a safe manner and follow all safety requirements
  • Maintain a clean working environment
  • Other duties as assigned

Desired Skills/Competencies:

  • Familiarity with a variety of standard measurement instruments including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pin gages, and gage blocks
  • Experience with FARO Arm or similar 3D scanning equipment
  • Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) operation or programming experience
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and drive for process improvement
  • Familiarity with industry standard FAI/PPAP requirements
  • 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing or quality related environment

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and move between two floors regularly
  • Occasionally move/lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs
  • Frequently required to manipulate objects at waist to shoulder level
