ABOUT THE ROLE

Inventables is building its reputation as the leading provider of 3D carving tools used to design and manufacture products. We’re looking for a detail oriented, charismatic receiving manager with leadership experience to join our operations team. As the Receiving Manager you will play a major role in ensuring our customers have an inspiring, and easy, out of the box experience by keeping the production and shipping teams stocked and supplied, enabling them to service orders in a timely and accurate manner.

The Warehouse Receiving Manager will oversee the physical delivery of all incoming inventory and coordinate with the Inventory manager to ensure that it is properly received and processed. The Receiving Manager delegates workflow of the department’s check-ins and production tasks. The position will collaborate closely with Shipping, Production and Inventory. This position takes ownership of the Receiving workstations, logging accurate data for storage, and unloading inventory in a timely manner. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate Receiving of all incoming deliveries. 
• Submit invoices/shipping paperwork to Inventory Manager 
• Assumes responsibility for basement storage units/ logging accurate data for the spaces. 
• Communicates with Shipping and X-Carve on production goals for Receiving
• Owns management of Kanban/Receiving work order system. Includes maintaining production in Receiving and managing production levels. 
• Delegate production orders, kanban cards, and various check-in duties to Receiving Team, overseeing overall productivity of day to day receiving work
• Facilitate new product rollouts by creating new shelf locations, check-in procedures, and product info on the website
• Rotate stock held in overflow remote storage areas to replenish stock in production
• Set up workstations for new assemblies in Receiving Department
• Examine and resolve issues linked to reported errors in Receiving Department 
• Maintain consistent organization of Inventory locations, including correct labeling and visibility, as well as safe and effective SKU storage
• Quality check the work of Receiving team for errors
• Operate pallet jacks, carts, ladders, lift gates, tape guns, scales, and box cutters
• Exercise and enforce safe warehouse practices
• Exercise Kaizen method of continuous improvement of working practices by following procedures and proposing changes as necessary
• Oversee End-of-Day Tasks
• Oversee retrieval of all incoming inventory from loading dock, as well as in-house deliveries
• Submit reorder requests of supplies for department to Warehouse Manager

EXPERIENCE

Required: 

• Previous Receiving Supervisor/Lead experience  (1-2 years)
• Experience working in a Warehouse environment
• Demonstrated organizational skills in previous positions
• Experience with computers (dropbox, google drive, label printing a plus) 
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
• Must be available to work Mon – Fri (work shift may fluctuate but will generally fall between the hours of 8:30am – 6:30pm CST)
• HS Diploma or higher

Preferred:

• Purchasing, vendor, supply chain management, ERP/MRP system and other inventory management experience
• Experience leading small teams
• Experience loading and unloading delivery trucks
