POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for supporting individual clients, introducing brokers, Futures Commission Merchants, MAIN and Fund Sponsors. Requirements include working directly with the aforementioned client base to develop and maintain a positive relationship through telephone and email communication. Daily activity will include assisting clients with financial transactions, researching client and sponsor inquiries which can range from new business inquiries to questions regarding account statements and required filings (1099-R, 5498, etc.), account transfers, distributions, online assistance and managing the overall client experience with Millennium Trust Company (MTC). The role also assumes the primary responsibility of interacting with all necessary internal Millennium departments to resolve client requests or answer any inquiries related to the investments held in the account.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for individual clients, introducing brokers, Futures Commission Merchants, MAIN and Fund Sponsors
- Support and guide clients through the investment process consistent with applicable IRS rules and regulations
- Understand the new account, distribution, and investment process and be able to articulate the subject matter to all client bases
- Answer client inquiries regarding MTC products, services and fees in a timely and accurate manner
- Manage incoming and outgoing communications including phone queues, faxes and emails
- Maintain a professional approach to client service, consistent with MTC protocol and service levels
- Provide educated answers with regard to IRA functions and Internal Revenue Service Code including prohibited transactions and complex investment scenarios
- Onboard New clients
- Meet and assist on site clients
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Communications or minimum 3 years of experience in the financial services industry
- Strong relationship and communication skills, applied to both internal and external clients.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Expertise to proactively analyze and make quick, sound decisions
- Ability to explain complex information clearly and simply
- Ability to solve complex issues, both independently and in a collaborative team environment
- Strong computer aptitude with proficiencies in Salesforce, Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
- Ability to maintain the highest quality of service and professionalism
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Three to five years prior work experience in a financial services industry
- Knowledge of and experience with IRA's and IRS rules and regulations
- Experience with Alternative Investments/Private Placements
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Overtime as required
