Resource and Practice Operations Specialist, M&A

West Monroe is seeking an exceptionally capable Resource and Practice Operations specialist to work as an internal consulting practice coordinator within our national Mergers & Acquisitions practice. In addition to providing strategy execution and operational support to the practice, you will also work with members of our Shared Services function to drive best practices in business operations.
What will you be doing?
Work as part of M&A practice to prioritize market-facing/chargeable time and professional development of all members of the practice by playing a key role in coordinating practice and business needs. Help drive team and personal responsibility within the practice by monitoring and reporting on key metrics such as invoicing, accounts receivable, forecast accuracy, overallocation/under allocation, PTO, time logging, etc. Partner with Finance to analyze practice area forecasting related to revenue and resource capacity. Drive insights from data and reporting to make decisions and recommendations at the practice level. Provide strategic and operational reporting to practice leadership. Partner with career advisors, engagement managers, and project resources to understand skills, areas of development, and general needs for the practice. Assist with candidate recruiting, including identification of skill gaps and job description development to attract the right talent for the practice and desired leverage model. Coordinate and execute practice-wide meetings and events as needed
Qualifications:
Executive-level presence and ability to present to senior-level executives
Experience (5+ years) in business, operations, professional services, or similar environment
A commitment to inclusion and diversity, and openness to new ideas and perspectives
Strong verbal and written communication skills; Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in order to facilitate decision-making
Strong client orientation and commitment to continuous improvement; ability to proactively network and establish effective working relationships with internal stakeholders
Prior project management experience within a professional services organization
People management experience with the ability to work with and mentor varying work styles
Experience working with a sense of immediacy, ability to manage competing demands and a diverse set of personalities while maintaining adaptability and flexibility
Strong communication skills, organizational and negotiation skills
Experience with developing data visualizations, custom reports (PowerBI), and Salesforce CRM
Prior experience with resource planning tools desired
Advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
A self-starter with high degree of autonomy, independence and executive presence; self-direct management of multiple projects
