Job Description Summary

The Salesforce Team Lead position is a highly technical and creative role, focused on administering and developing in our custom Salesforce environment. It's designed to lead a team of Salesforce administrators and to also work closely with end users to understand the business needs, estimate and plan the project work in an Agile environment. Own all aspects of Force.com custom development, building high quality and scalable applications with Apex and Visualforce, as well as maintaining and enhancing existing development as the business/process changes.

 

Job Duties

* Understand all aspects of Salesforce configuration (technical and functional) for Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and Billing
* Collaborate with the Salesforce Business Owner(s), IT systems leadership, CRM Steering Committee and other stakeholders to ensure functionality meets field needs and to develop ongoing project plan
* Maintain high-level familiarity with other IT system /business application capabilities and scope definition in order to make recommendations about potential upstream/downstream integration or functionality intersection points
* Perform Salesforce.com configuration and Force.com custom development using Salesforce objects and entities like Page Layouts, Standard and Custom Objects, Approval Processes/Workflows, Apex and Visual Force code, etc.
* Manage and implement customization requests, including creating workflow triggers, workflow alerts, automated email responses, etc.
* Maintain updated system documentation and policies/procedures
* Develop and maintain API scripts and s-controls to support custom development as needed
* Provide ongoing support and training for complex business processes; identify pain points and deliver continuous improvements
* Manage operational aspects of Saleforce.com with a focus on system configuration, standardization, data integration, data quality, and technical issue resolution
* Write Apex Classes, Visual Force Pages, Apex Triggers, Controllers, jQuery’s to implement complex business requirements
* Implement SOAP / REST based web services
* Apply best practices and design patterns of best of breed applications developed on the Force.com platform
* Monitor inbound support requests assigning accordingly and completing promptly; identify and implement new ways to automate common/repeated scenarios

 

Qualifications

BS or higher in a computer science field or related discipline
10+ years of total professional experience, ideally within the information technology field
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in a Salesforce Administrator/Developer capacity
Minimum of 3 years managing Salesforce teams/ professionals
Salesforce Admin Certified (ADM201) & Certified App Builder (ADM401)
Fluency in core CRM concepts with a strong analytical mindset
Knowledge of Force.com development best practices and design patterns
Experience with Salesforce.com Web Service APIs, SOAP and REST APIs
Strong knowledge of AGILE/SCRUM Processes
Experience configuring SteelBrick CPQ
Experience with Salesforce Billing, Wave and RemedyForce a plus
Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management
Self-motivated with critical attention to detail and deadlines and reporting
Fluent with SOSL and SOQL, Workflows
Hands on experience with Tools like Data Loader, Eclipse, SoapUI, APEX Explorer, Ant Scripts, AJAX tool kit
Experience on Force.com Integration Technologies
Thorough understanding on the Life Cycle of Development including Salesforce Deployment/Packaging effectively using Metadata API, ChangeSet and Ant.
Best Practices understanding on Coding Standards, Deployment, Apex, VF, Salesforce Integration, Security implementations
