Responsibilities

We are a cloud-first company seeking a Senior Cloud Analyst. Join our team and make a difference! The Senior Cloud Analyst will work with our Senior Manager, Global IT VMO, and will provide transparency, analysis, and optimization recommendations for our global cloud environment. Working with stakeholders in IT Infrastructure, Operations, Architecture and in Finance, you will utilize Cloud Health (our cloud analytics tool) to provide reporting, forecasting and spend trends.

• Assess the reporting and analytic needs of leadership and engineering teams, and identify approaches and solutions to meet those needs
• Evaluate cloud spending trends and anomalies
• Drive transparency and accountability by building reports on monthly spend and allocating costs appropriately
• Identify opportunities to reduce costs based on reserved instance usage trends
• Remain current with industry standards, trends, and competitive intelligence on cloud best practices
• Lead ongoing education on cost related trends, themes and best practices for cloud for engineering teams 
• Educate and enable engineering teams to deliver cost efficient features
• Participate in IT contract reviews and negotiations
• Build strong working relationships across IT and Finance

Desired Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in IT or Finance (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of experience in a cloud analyst role in an enterprise-wide organization
• In-depth understanding of Public Cloud providers, cloud analytical tools, and the various pricing models (Cloud Health experience is a plus)
• Demonstrated experience with process design, improvement, implementation, and management
• Experience driving change in an organization through relationship-building and communication, influence and leadership
• In-depth understanding of business strategy and ability to interact effectively with senior business managers and C-level executives
• Excellent verbal, written, and facilitation skills
• Experience implementing best-practice processes and procedures
• Ability to work within cross functional teams and mentor colleagues
• Highly detail oriented and deadline driven
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Adaptable to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Self-directed and self-motivated
